Duncan MacLaren, of the Glasgow Lay Dominicans, is a member of the International Dominican Commission for Justice and Peace in Geneva. At the end of September there will be a meeting of this commission and Duncan needs to make report for this meeting. With this message he asks for the help of all the European fraternities:
To all European fraternities: Greetings in St Dominic and St Catherine! I represent the male laity at the International Dominican Commission for Justice and Peace and our next meeting will be at the end of September 2017.
I would appreciate having news from you about any initiatives to promote justice and peace from a Dominican perspective among the Dominican laity in Europe, including follow-up to the Salamanca meeting on human rights in 2016 and the Rome meeting on the mission of the Order in January this year. Please send me a brief report of the activities to: dmdonncha085@gmail.com.
You can write in English, French, Italian, German or Portuguese. I would appreciate replies before the end of August as I have to compile the reports and then they are translated into other languages before the meeting. Many thanks.
In solidarity,
Duncan MacLaren OPL
Glasgow, Scotland.
