Acts of 9th European Assembly of Lay Dominican Fraternities
The Council of the ECLDF has send the revised copy of the Statutes of the European Council to all the delegates with the urgent request to discuss this proposal within their provinces and vicarates in anticipation of the Assemblee.
As the Caleruega Assembly agreed, some small linguistic changes have been made; these do not affect the content in any way and are not marked. But there are more changes provided in this proposal. Please look carefully at those parts that are highlighted in yellow (modifications on the basis of discussion in Caleruega) and in green (proposals from the present Council).
It would be very useful if the delegates could discuss these modifications and send their reactions to the Council before the Assembly. If everyone agrees on them, they need not be discussed in Bologna; but if there are further comments or suggestions, the Assembly will consider them and vote on possible changes.
Please note that, because at Caleruega the Assembly voted for the Council to serve for four years (instead of three, as at present), there has been a change from three to four years in II B and II D.1.
