It is now possible to register for the Assembly of Lay Dominican Fraternities in Bologna from 21 to 26 May 2014 for delegates and for observers. Here you will find all the registration and authorisation forms. Please read them carefully!
Each Province and Vicariate is allowed to send two lay delegates to the Assembly. Provinces or Vicariates with 500 or more Lay Dominican members or which have 30 or more fraternities, may send an additional delegate.
Those Provinces and Vicariates that consist of more than one country in which there are fraternities may send an additional delegate from each country to participate in the Assembly.
The Province or Vicariate having no Provincial Council may be invited to send a representative to the Assembly. This representative will have no vote.
The Promoter of each Province and Vicariate can also attend the Assembly.
The European Council has decided to offer a limited number of places at the Assembly to professed Lay Dominicans who have not been named as delegates. These people will stay in the Collegio and will be able to attend the Assembly as observers; they will not be able to vote and will be invited to intervene in discussion, whether in plenary sessions or in the working groups, only modestly. Observers must send the registration form and the full fee by the same date as the delegates, and must bring a letter from their Provincial or Vicarial Council, signed by the Provincial or Vicarial President, authorising their participation in this role.
Please register before 10th April 2014!
