CONSEIL EUROPEEN DES FRATERNITES LAIQUES DOMINICAINES
CONSEJO EUROPEO DE LAS FRATERNIDADES LAICAS DOMINICAS
EUROPEAN COUNCIL OF LAY DOMINICAN FRATERNITIES
Bologna, November 2013
Dear brothers and sisters in St Dominic,
On behalf of the European Council of Lay Dominican Fraternities (ECLDF) and of the North Italian Dominican Province of San Domenico in Italia, we would like to invite you to select delegates to attend
the 9th European Assembly of Lay Dominican Fraternities,
which will take place from
21 May to 26 May 2014 in Bologna, Italy,
on the theme:
« TORCHBEARERS: crossing borders ».
We still need some time to prepare the final budget and tell you the registration fees, but this should be settled over the next few weeks. You will then receive the programme of the Assembly, the registration forms and all the information necessary for casting votes at the Assembly (number of delegates, requirements, letter of authorisation).
To help you start making preparations for attending, we would like to give you the following information:
Venue of the Assembly:
Collegio San Tommaso, via San Domenico 1, Bologna, Italy.
Accessible by:
public transport (bus, train) or car
There is a shuttle bus service from Bologna airport to the city centre, not far from the Collegio.
Accommodation:
single and double rooms, all with private bathroom.
Internet connection available.
Once you respond, travel instructions will be given to you individually.
The official language of the Assembly will be English: for various logistic reasons, translation will not be available during plenary sessions. Working groups during the Assembly will be formed in several languages.
Delegates will receive, by e-mail, the template for a short presentation of themselves and a photograph, which can be displayed on a notice board and thus made available to all participants.
